Why you'd want to live in Near North Side
The Near North Side area is comprised of four separate neighborhoods, River North, Streeterville, Gold Coast, and Old Town. River North: River North is one of the largest downtown neighborhoods. West of Michigan Avenue to LaSalle Street you’ll find Chicago’s famous shopping, world-class dining, and nightlife. Certain areas can be loud and boisterous at night, but the majority of the apartments have strong sound insulation. Streeterville: The Streeterville neighborhood is home to Northwestern University’s downtown campus, University of Chicago Gleacher Center, NBC Tower, Northwestern Hospital, Lurie Children’s Hospital, popular downtown hotels and gourmet grocery stores. Gold Coast: The Gold Coast neighborhood is a mix between beautiful private residences and high-rise apartments. The Gold Coast is known for its Oak Street Beach and its high-end restaurants and shopping. Old Town: Just west of Gold Coast, Old Town is home to a few luxury apartment high rise buildings as well as many three flats and town homes. via Soloma Realty
